hap, reading your post to Peg it seems you agree with me that the vote on the Hunter resolution was a political game...

http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=8564844

you did notice that vote last evening did you not -- it is going to be a rough 3 years for the libs/dems/lefties

you really should know by now that you are in a hardball political game....

Play with words and attack all you want. If people are proud of the Republican's playing political games on this issue while soldiers are dying, then they might want to think again about their vote next year. I stand by what I said last night which is repeated below.

The Republican stunt is a slap in the face to all the soldiers who have died, are dying and who will live with the scars of war, both physical and emotional, for the rest of their lives. THIS IS NOT A GAME, HOW DARE THEY!

Murtha's resolution was to open a serious discussion for a plan to bring the troops home, they do not have the number of troops needed nor the equipment! Bush has no plan except to continue repeating the empty words of we will stay until the job is done.

Hunter's resolution was to play a game of gotcha. I know you enjoyed the video of Bush looking for WMD's under the table etc. so I can see how you would also enjoy this political maneuver.

TO THOSE WHO THINK THIS IS A GAME, IT IS NOT."

Murtha: This is not a war of words
by Joe in DC - 11/20/2005 10:56:00 AM

http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/11/murtha-this-is-not-war-of-words.html

"Congressman Murtha, on Meet the Press, responded to Russert's question about attacks on him by Cheney and others. Murtha answered that this is not a war of words. This is a real war where people are being killed. He also said Bush and Cheney can't hide behind rhetoric.

Murtha wouldn't say he had confidence in Rumsfeld. Meanwhile, Rumsfeld was on other shows trashing Murtha according to Think Progress.

Murtha also said his vote for the war was a mistake. And he reminded Russert that we've increased terrorism in the Middle East. He also predicted we would withdraw American troops before the 2006 elections.

When Tim asked him how his life has changed in the past 72 hours, Murtha chuckled and basically said it's not about me. The public is thirsting for answers.

For Bush/Rove/Cheney, it is a war of words. Hence, the Iraq "war room" to smear and attack in the post below which was reported by Howard Fineman in Newsweek."
