US withdrawal from Iraq has begun. GWB and his admin have achieved what only two years ago seemed unbelievable - they are held in the lowest esteem of any recent administration, and are not believed or trusted by a majority of US citizens.
Only one year into his second term, GWB is a lame duck president already - Rep pols are peeling away from this admin to save their own pol skin.
The latest sign of desperation on the part of this admin was attacking Rep Murtha (D-PA).

This quote from Lindoff is the brutal reality that the troops and families of the wounded and dead must find the courage to face up to, first; and then to look to Washington D.C., and charge Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld et al(including Bill Clinton AND Hilary Clinton and Senator Biden as they were 100% behind this all the way)), as those that are responsible, that the blood of every soldier is on their hands for the premeditated crime of doing an evil bait and switch to suck the U.S. into war that basic motive was NOT terrorism, not at all, but Oil and an imperialistic passion to make Iraq a place to establish military bases and airfields to create a powerful military presence in the Middle-East.
This quote that follows is what they must face, and it takes courage to face , but it is the hard truth.
<<The nearly 2100 Americans who have died so far to help the president get re-elected, to make him look like a leader, and to provide cover for his criminal executive power grab, have died for nothing.>>
It takes a great deal of inner courage, for instance, for a soldier now without legs, to look at his situation, and say, and it was for nothing.
Nam was a confusion of different reactions , one would see men without legs wheeling themselves in marches protesting the Nam war, and on the sidelines some other Nam vets in wheelchairs without legs protesting FOR the war.
The longer we go on, more and more troops will be killed or maimed, for nothing, and more and more many innocents in the moslem world will be killed by us also, in the chaos of bombs/guns/killing/ a relentless madness of a pursuing a lost war the was STARTED by us, it had NOTHING to do with 9/11, nothing, this was the Bush war, pre-emptive and unjustified.
Murtha knows this war is lost, McCain hasn't grasp that yet, this is McCain's major weakness, he can't bear this cruel deje vu, another wrong war where troops die and are maimed or are POWS(like McCain himself), for nothing.
It takes a brave heart to say, it has been for nothing.
Welles.
