tbone58x: hurricanes are very uncommon this late in the season as the waters of the Atlantic and Gulf turn colder. So it's amazing to see yet another tropical storm forming just 2 weeks before the official end of hurricane season. However it's still only tropical strength with sustained winds of 40mph. Hopefully it won't develop into a hurricane, but in this crazy year, who knows ? We'll find out by later this weekend. Florida could be hit yet again.

Incredible. It would really be crazy if it hit over the Thanksgiving holiday, although it is supposed to arrive earlier. It is very unusual to have a storm hit the lower East Coast of Florida from the west, as Wilma did. This could be another one. I doubt the water is as warm, so it won't be as bad as Wilma. This is November, for crying out loud.

Maybe IPII will recover a little next week.
