My definition of 'manipulation' wasn't very precise, I give you that. I'll stick with it, though.
I don't agree on the need of upswings and news to generate volume, because we have volume. Neomedia is a perfect example on how to exploit shareholders trust and hopes without leaving legal ground. Neomedia should have zero volume given its past and numbers. I've long since admired (and posted it) Neomedia's success with reverse psychology. For years now folks here have interpreted no news as 'the global QR pioneer having something highly classified in the works'. It takes quite a few skills in anthropolgy to pull that off over such a long time. And then, of course, the occasional trapdoor/resplit takes care of getting stuck at the bottom of the barrel.
'The number of outstanding shares of the registrant’s Common Stock on November 9, 2011 was 437,378,114'
'The number of outstanding shares of the registrant’s Common Stock on November 8, 2012 was 1,744,759,603'
Records show that your estimate is off 600 million shares. There are certainly fluctuations and I have no idea what caused that crazy volume a couple of weeks ago, but IMO the 10K will show that it isn't too hard for YA to sell billions of shares within 18 months or less.
'Manipulation' may not agree with everyone's definition of the term, but given Neomedia's silent agreement with ongoing events I can't find a better word.
