So you have been to the horse races right? My mom started taking me when I was a kid.... I loved pouring over the newspaper and racing forum. Weighing the variables, estimating the probabilities, looking carefully at the history and finally carefully looking over the animal just before placing my $2 show bet. I quickly learned that there was an inherent fairness....as the horses rounded the final turn and the one angry jockey stuck his opponent over the head with his whip.... there was an "official inquiry" and the dishonest jockey was disqualified.
Contrast that with dog racing. On the surface they seem so similar.... until the rusty mechanical bone slides down the rail. .....the boxes open and for the first 200 yards it feels just like a horse race. The quick dog gets out to an early lead as expected... the fat dog falls to the back. Then it happens.... as they enter the first turn... the rabid dog gets angry and bites the odds-on favorite right on the rump. The result...the proverbial dog pile.... and the three legged dog limps to the finish line. ....and you look for the "official inquiry"... and all you see are the grey men headed to the ticket windows to collect their winnings.
Pink stocks are just like the dog track...no rules, no justice and every once in a while, the three legged dog wins.
