And the offspring a single pair of any given species over time would produce all the varieties of that species you see today.
So Adam and Eve's children eventually multiplied into the racial mixture you see on earth today. Never mind Ethiopians and Scotsmen, what about the difference just between Ethiopians and Congolese; between Tibetans and Malaysians; between Norsemen and Serbs? These do not give examples evolution?
The sign posted on the door of the mess hall warn us to be especially watchful for cold weather problems with black soldiers. On the other hand my fair-skinned son survive a day in Curacao without SPF 90 in three layers, but he can play in the snow all day. If, for the sake of this example they're both (child and soldier) from New England, why is one "adapted" so well to equatorial conditions, and the other to the snows of northern Europe? How is this not an example of genetics and natural selection, the bases of evolution.
....The Holstein and the Hereford both came from the same pair of cows, Chihuahuas and Tibeten Mastiffs from the same pair of dogs, and we would have had unicorns too, but they wouldn't get on the Ark or something like that....
And even though inbreeding is thought to be generally harmful to a species, in your example it works great.
Scientists have postulated for years now that modern dinosaurs are not lizards, but birds. Hence the skeleton of the apatosaurus (Sp?)and the ostrich are remarkably similar as is that of the chickadee to both, and a pelican skimming across the waves reminds us of a pterodactyl. Until recently no one had found a dinosaur with feathers.... they have now. Did I see the evolution happen? Don't be obtuse. I don't see the earth revolving either, but I understand the science somewhat.
I do however, see why the monkeys are very distant cousins to us and the great apes, (that's the chimps, gorillas, people etc... ) are so much more closely related. Perhaps they were all just critters to people thousands of years back, but they fit into a far more interesting picture in light of today's knowledge.
You are unable to open your mind to any scientific enquiry into the matter. The bible says "this". It's true and there's an end on it. All that's left is to study it more and to contort the words ever more strenuosly to fit the situations and questions that inevitably arise. (Now "in his image" doesn't mean looking like him.... for instance)
The Bible is static and it reflects the understanding of a people that thought the earth was flat and the sun went around it. (but not in a chariot pulled by Apollo's horses... that's just silly!) They also never found a cure for polio, TB or smallpox. They accepted these things as God's will. Today, we understand that these people had a very primitive understanding of reality. Given their circumstances this is understandable, but to believe as they did in this day and age just seems very fearful. That in turn seems an unnatural way to exist.
