could be, it was suggested early 2012 it could escalate .. i'm thinking neither Iran nor the Arab states would want more conflict now .. you're right though, the islands could be used...
SPARK -- if there is a conflict (i.e., if we do end up going after them), Iran will lose (along with a lot else) any presence on those islands -- but those islands won't have had anything to do with why the conflict eventuated
