So let's see here, Pentium sales picked up with P54 because
1) it was the best performing x86 processor and had reasonable TDP.
2) because of a well publicized defect.

Hmmm, I'd have to say 1) was the overwhelming reason.

BTW, if being defective is such a sales incentive how come Barcelona
didn't drive AMD sales skyward? :-D
