Without arguing the merits of each individual case, your question was "what has been taken away from" Christians. You might think the removal was for the good, but the fact remains that all the things I mentioned were an integral part of the fabric of our society for most, if not all, of its existence until recently. I believe that our society has coarsened and is far poorer for the changes.
