"We use a scanning passive infrared (PIR) sensor to detect a person's body heat. Highly optimized machine vision algorithms are used to learn and remember the carereceiver's daily attire. A sonar range finder is instrumental in maintaining a safe, predetermined distance between the CareBot and the carereceiver.
LOL! The carebot knows its G'ma by the clothes she wears? Sounds highly unreliable. What if G'ma gets a new outfit for Christmas? What if she has company? What if the carebot reminds the wrong person to take their meds? How does the carebot know it's talking to G'ma and not the dog or the cat? How does the carebot know if G'ma is in need of assistance of just taking a nap?
Perhaps rog should release a video demonstrating how it can tell what G'ma wears on a daily basis? or how it responds when G'ma takes a nap in her chair? or how it finds G'ma to remind her to take her meds when she has company? Lets see how it responds to two people in the room, or three people. How does it know which one is G'ma?
Let's see some vids demonstrating these abilities instead of meandering junkbots.
