greens12: I was given the impression that TD Ameritrade was friendly to penny stocks like CBIS. Scottrade would not allow me to open an account with a transfer of penny stocks, so I went to Ameritrade and they told me there would be no problem transferring my penny stocks into my account with them, so I did it, and the transfer went smoothly without a hitch. Now when I try to place a buy order on CBIS, I get this message:
"Order cannot be processed due to a DTC chill restricting the ability to transfer a security and settle the trade."
How in heaven's name could they let me transfer my CBIS stock into my account with them from another brokerage, and then not allow me to trade that CBIS stock??? It doesn't make any sense at all!!!
I may have to sue them for screwing me up like that.
I'll have to see about opening an account with Etrade, i guess.
