#7393 RE: alpinefrost #7392

I can sympathize. This beach climate in Socal, I'm still picking ripe tomatoes and Kale and Spinach, Mustard greens, Parsley. I'm mourning my Orange tree. Something took it out since October. It looks like it isn't getting water, but where I cut the branches it is still green. Is it sleeping? Should I beat it with a stick? It has never dropped all of its leaves before, and it is only in the 50 year time frame of a normally 100 year life span of a Valencia Orange.
My neighbor's Valencia is looking fine, and I know she never waters it. same year housing, so her tree is about the same as ours.
The Cherokee Purples I harvested this week are very flavorful! I am sold on Cherokee Purples. I started with one plant and as I accidentally broken branches off and put them in the dirt, I think I now have 4 growing.
