It's not just LU, it's also NT. Both have softswitches deployed inside SBC. Sonus also has a token prescence, as does Alcatel. SBC is basically letting the two big boys beat each other over the head while waving the SONS card just in case they don't get the pricing/service point.

If SBC ever goes single-vendor, highest odds are for NT, then LU, with SONS a distant third because it would be cheaper for NT and LU to give the damn things away for free then to let SONS beat them and then have to purchase SONS for the business.

All IMO etc.

sbc and att are merging...sbc has stated for months now that the two reasons for doing this are t's business contacts and att's voip network which uses sons equipment. Yet we are supossed to believe lu or nt that sbc is going with lu and nt..when sbc has stated they are merging with t for their voip network...I don't even know how to respond to that: sbc is clearly using sons equipment or will be through the t merger.

Lu is the intergrator, both of those pr's suggest this and I have no doubt lu has the integration contract.. This isn't something sons does.

Bell South: I am told repeatedly by folks that I trust that that Lu equipment does not replace sons softswtches.

I am more sure about Sbc and T than BLS

Bell south is already a customer.

Sons is a small company. They cannot support wins across the board

Sons has won at Aol, Qwest, Att, Level Three, Earthlink, Ntt.

They have nearly run tha table on the isp's

I MAY BE WRONG ABOUT ANY OF MY OPINIONS
