Gold up but the dollar is hardly moving

What's the reason for the huge drop in the futures? They were up modestly earlier this weekend. Have come back a tad from when you posted.

Regarding gold, yep it's up too.

I haven't seen a new piece of news -- save for U.S. diplomats that are "unnecessary" <g> being pulled from a few Arab countries.

futures are irrelevant at this time. Try 3 am EST --- that is much more accurate, and often times is the start of levitation.

Perhaps Greenie is an early riser?
