I would have no problem with a science teacher saying "maybe a higher being is involved with creation or evolution" but I am very suspect of those who are supporting (and bankrolling) intelligent design. It stinks of a broader agenda.

Many would argue the exact opposite. In simple terms, I can look at existing animals and existing remains of animals and man as he has evolved over centuries and at least get some hard physical support for the theory of evolution. With creationism, what do I have except for theories backed up by scriptures that depend solely on.......blind faith?
