Many areas of Scripture are very clear, though, leaving the reader only the choice of accepting or rejecting what is taught -- one may try to hide behind the cloak of "interpretation", but the truth of the matter is that "interpretation" has nothing to do with it.
You are aware that there are several versions of the Bible aren't you? And they differ in their readings. The same thing with Christian based religions.
I try and touch all bases and have attended several different denominational churches including some yuppie types.
The Christian ones all have different interpretations on what it takes to get to heaven.
Of course to date none espouse getting there on roller skates.
