edit i am very offended by schools which teach "health issues". I am also very offended by many anti drug campaigns. I am very offended by schools teaching "tolerance". I feel strongly that I as a parent should control what is being fed into the brains of my children. if mlsoft lives in a community in which most of the parents want intelligent design to be offered somewhere in the curriculum that is fine, as long as other parents have the right to have their kids not to learn it

I am very tired of schools which have adopted a social rearing, we need to socialize your kid our way, make sure kids have good thoughts mentality. And at the same time schlorship is declining.

great books which i read in 4th throgh 7th grade, which I still own, are now part of the 8th through 10th grade curricullum

according to great books, the highly motivated kids of the past read 5 years bettter than the highly motivated kids of now.

Now the school day is littered with daily hours or two on correct thought programs. which dish out information which is unappropriate and often wrong , taught by teachers with no health background, read from a script which is given to them by the state, because the federal government wont give them school grants unless they put it into the curricullum. many times the program says tolerance or diversity but it is collective guilt and a teaching of history which did not exist

do you honestly know why fake math programs exist for first graders like winroth math ? or a kid should hae teamwork sighns and teachings in kindergarten and 1 through 4th grade?

For starters those are HIS beliefs. You have YOUR own. You can disagree with his and he can disagree with yours. The point you're missing is that you do it politely. Address the message not the messenger.

As for this....

He believes that secular schools, secular holidays and secular town squares are an assault on his religion, but making them places to celebrate religion... sorry make that "his" religion, is OK, and is not an assault on my freedom, even though I am forced to pay for those places, and can only use them under the auspices of his religion.

Last year my son's secular school/public spent a week on each religious holiday in his kindergarten class. I personally thought it was a good idea so that the kids learn early about DIVERSITY and RESPECT for one another's religion.

Novel idea don't you think?
