Yes, I do believe the big Co.'s will come in & dominate market share.......Phillip Morris has already purchased huge parcels in Humboldt & Mendocino Co.'s.......
The rights to Bob Marley's name & photos have been purchased by the tobacco Co........think Marley Man instead of Marlboro Man........
The shift to legalization will happen only when the FDA & pharmaceutical Co.'s are on board......they are the one's holding MJ back......
The pharmaceutical Co.'s know marijuana is a big threat......they aren't going to let a bunch of hippies come in and take market share.......
What will happen?......the FDA will reclassify Marijuana & it will no longer be a schedule 1 drug.......that leads to the pharmaceutical Co.'s being able to run studies & eventually putting various products to market......
This is where I see Co.'s like MJNA & CBIS being take over targets.......it will be much easier for Big pharma to buy a little co. Than develop they're own products & market share......
If the current MMJ co.'s have viable products that are profitable, big pharma will be knocking on their door.......
I see Co.'s like MJNA as potential take over targets in the future......just look @ the health food sector & the energy drink sector.......
Both of these sectors are perfect examples of all the little Co.'s being bought out by the big guys......almost ever energy drink is now owned by Pepsi or Coke........
I think these little Co.'s that are paving the road to the "new frontier" will eventually be bought out if their co. Is worthy.......I think MJNA is a perfect take over target in the future........as long as they're legit........
There's something else brewing in the MJ world & it's not necessarily MMJ.........Hemp.......hemp is the future....
Hemp is going to change the world.......the US is the only industrialized nation where hemp farming is illegal......(yes, there are some plots being planted now w/ govt. approval.....the 1st step).......
What you're going to see in the future is a huge shift to everything hemp......the uses are endless......Hemp has been farmed in Eastern Europe for 20 years.......perfectly legal & regulated.......
There's a similar scene there to the US emerald triangle, except it's pretty much strictly hemp farmers.......
They have the knowledge & the products........I see the US following Europe 's lead......the US will legalize hemp & a whole new industry will be born.......
This is the infancy......the very beginning........of a entire new sector being born........very exciting.......similar to MMJ in the 90's.........
the next future billionaires will be born in the hemp & MJ sectors........think the start of the tech boom....
That leaves us w/ the current MMJ stocks being traded.......is this a good time to jump in?.......it depends on your time frame.....
If your a trader the MMJ sector has been red hot & the good trading should continue.......if you're more of a long term holder I would wait to buy on weakness.....
Alway's buy on weakness, @ least that's my theory.......the MMJ plays will consolidate & lower entry points will become available......
That's not to say that next week should be profitable "Trading" the sector........if you look @ any long term chart for any MMJ co. currently running you'll see the big spikes have been followed by consolidation......
Until the trend changes, I would expect it to continue......last weeks action was very similar to the action after previous breakouts.......
To summarize.......the MMJ, MJ, Hemp sectors are @ the tail end of one movement & @ the very beginning of a new one.......
The key is to be ahead of the herd........as long as the current MMJ co.'s are flexible w/ their business model & adapt to the new frontier the future for the entire sector looks very bright........$$$
