Americans have largely sold their shares have they not?
Though I do believe broadly speaking that very few Americans are currently actively seeking or holding investments in China small caps. The large volume and constant top ranking within the OTCBB does however likely attract domestic OTC day traders. Simply if for no other reason than the large volume that triggers platform alerts.
Day traders provide much needed liquidity to maintain an attractive market, but they also can hinder the stock price by boxing the stock where liquidity is most active. It's certainly a love/hate relationship when it comes to the potential impact short term traders have.
