I´m familiar with this term, but I think it isn´t applicable here. What you´re suggesting is that people would stop buying Barton systems because there might a prototype at CeBIT running at 1,8 Ghz or more, that might get released in 6 months or more. With performance ranging from terrible to unknown (based on the latest measurements). I think that´s not realistic. Demonstrations at trade shows are supposed to inspire confidence in new potential customers, and A64 surely isn´t doing that. And all the trade press is reporting on are problems, delays, uncertain future etc. when it comes to AMD. I remember how many were saying last year, uh, AMD is sandbagging, they can produce much higher clocked Hammers if they want to. It turned out they couldn´t.
As for the stock argument, I better don´t comment on that.
Don´t get me wrong, I respect your viewpoints, but I don´t agree with them, especially with the information we have on A64 scaling.
