American Express and it's salad oil crisis had no permanent damage to its business and brand identity and monopoly in corporate credit card market in the 60s. Gieco was insuring bad drivers and caused lot of loss for them. Buffett discussed with managemt that they will only insure good drivers. One time fixable problem that has not permanently damage the company. Both time he made a killing. Aapl business has slowed down a bit but nothing else has changed. No one should expect a Titan like aaple will grow 50% per year.
