DEAR LUCKY9,58NOUT, Thanks to you both for these inspiring cancer stories. They reinforce what we tend to forget with all this rather dry investment talk. It's also about the very human stories behind bringing Kevetrin to market. If this drug will help people to live longer, healthier lives, then we can be proud to be part of
the action. That may be what makes this board so special. Again, thank you both for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your personal story 58, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your wife. Live life to the fullest and make many wonderful memories along the way!
My late wife battled melanoma for ten years after being diagnosed with stage III at age 24. She was given just 6 months to live and our children were 2yrs old and 6 months old at the time. I basically became a full-time cancer researcher at the time. (In my spare time as a restaurant owner) Our faith, clinical trials at JWCI Santa Monica and my wife's positive spirit gave us ten wonderful years the doctors never thought we would have. Interestingly, Thalidomide and Temodar in combination helped us to survive brain mets for five years. I say interestingly because at that time, not even our Neurologist (head of the Brain Institute Shands UF) thought it was worth the trouble. Temodar is now the standard of care for many brain cancer patients. We were told it was a waste of time. I learned of the treatment while at a brain tumor conference in Ft. Lauderdale. My point is that you never know what promise a new compound like Kevetrin may hold.
btw I wrote a book about our experience and self published it. Anyone interested in it can private message me and I'll give you the title. It's a few bucks on Amazon. Warning....it details our experience but is also a Spiritual account. My wife was simply amazing and has been and continues to be an inspiration to many!
On a more positive note, we were very grateful for the 10 years. I am happily remarried. My kids are doing wonderful and our oldest is now a college honor student studying pre-med at USF and hopes to be an Oncologist one day. She actually made rounds with her late mother's oncologist this past summer. Her mom would be so proud, Lord knows I am.
