Alan Newman market comments this morning:
Our confidence in the prospect of a short term reversal is not high. We believe that traders are grasping at literally every straw to find a trend and at this juncture, what might be in effect is a relatively trendless phase, a trading range, if you will.
Simply put, there are too many participants who are on hold, waiting, waiting, waiting for something to happen. And when it does, we're certainly not sure that the majority will get it right.
Resistance at Dow 8076, SPX 852 and Nasdaq 1353 appear strong enough at this time to halt any upside progess.
