William Steere, former [PFE] CEO who presided over launch of anti-impotence pill Viagra in '90s and mega-deal that gave PFE full control of cholesterol blockbuster Lipitor. He stepped down as director in 2011 but it's no surprise that he's been summoned for duty again.

Actually, it is surprising, IMO, that Steere is being pressed back into action.

PFE’s Zoetis spinoff is off to a good start financially:

The start date for trading in Zoetis shares has not yet been announced but is supposed to be in Jan or Feb 2013. If all goes according to plan, the shares of Zoetis still owned by PFE following the IPO will be distributed to PFE shareholders in Jul 2013.
