:) When a stock trader, broker pounds the table on a stock, he is indicating a must buy sentiment.
It's, basically, the strongest positive you can have about a particular issue.
(And, yes, I have pounded on a table in the past, and it had nothing to do with anything positive. A dual meaning, depending on the context, for sure.) ;-)
