Hey McWubbin;.....IMO, a promo group could be behind the split. A lot of companies are hiring promo groups these days and if a stock has had trouble for a long time, getting the PPS up decently, many recommend a RS to immediately solve that issue, as well as allow the company to be in a more favorable position to possibly move into a major exchange. This also would help reduce the shorting problem. I would think a company as quality and well known as SANT, would make that, their next move. We shall see!
Some companies are doing RS more than twice as much as SANT did, so count yourself lucky it wasn't worse. I hate to lose my share quantity as that reduces my total gain potential, but if it takes it to move the stock, that's better than having a lot of shares and holding on to something sitting idle. Should this go into a major exchange soon, then new larger investors should come on board and drive it up nicely. Profit is profit, however it comes. Let's hope we see some soon!
