Idcc, the posts this weekend have generaly been constructive, focused and positive. Your two recent posts hoping for the dissolution of Nigeria and ERHC soound like those of an angry Exxon employee.
I do want to add that I do hope that the United States' heroic efforts in Iraq will end up with the formation of a constitutional democracy and peace. My major difference with US policy would have been for the formation of a multi-national group to help keep order in Iraq after Saddam Hussein was toppled rather than a selfish attempt to garner all the oil for United States companies.
From the perspective of an Exxon, I think that both Exxon and the United States are going to find that democracies such as Nigeria, imperfect as they may be, are attempting to find ways to remove "The Curse of Oil" and increase the benefits of oil production for all facets of their economies.
It may be more difficult for a colonial oriented super major such as an Exxon or super-power such as the United States to deal with but it could be better for all concerned.
