No, that's not how the SEC works. They investigate BEFORE they suspend a stock. They know that suspension and the automatic relegation to the greys is very damaging for a stock as an investment so they investigate FIRST.
Of the 1193 stocks suspended in the last 3 years, MORE THAN HALF have been revoked and ALL of the rest are still on the greys. NOT ONE has made it off. A record like that is proof that the SEC does a good job of investigating BEFORE issuing a suspension.
