This is what my dad taught me....

A Semi-automatic is a gun that can fire more than once without a manual unload/reload. Virtually all handguns in this day and age are semi-automatic. The reason a six shooter is semi-automatic is that the spent round is rotated out of the chamber while a new round is rotated in. The trigger can be pulled up to six times without manually reloading.

Or in a good western, they can fire all day without reloading!!!

We can also just call anything with a magazine where the shell is ejected and another sprung into the chamber. The six shooters we can call revolvers.

Either way, It is the capacity of the weapon that is measure of how many times a gun can be fired without manually reloading.

Revolvers have been made to handle up to ten rounds, and one can buy multiple cylinders that can be replaced fully loaded.

Anyways, However one wants to slice it...I think that legislating how many rounds a gun can contain at one time should be limited...IMHO to (10)...

You ever heard of a Speed Loader? I can reload a revolver in almost the same time as a semi auto. Good gawd.
