I don't know about you, but I would not buy privately smelted bar with an unknown fineness from a 3rd party individuals... I'd imagine that it would be hard to sell them after you melt the silver. It would be more liquid as an original form whether it is a spoons or folks. IMHO I recommend you to think twice before you decide to melt your silver...
I just haven't had the need to melt any scrap PM down yet. I could concievably need to melt gold dust into dore, but I am interested in gearing up for an extended mining trip once the water temps warm up in spring. A job would be nice and I plan on conducting a job search close to the goldfields. S~P
