What are Israel's options now even in a retaliatory situation? The tensions are so high in the ME. And global opinion (even if we say it doesn't matter - it does matter) is clearly against the US initiative, especially without UN approval.
I have no doubt Iraq will strike Israel. Israel's and the US's response might be key to avoiding WW3.
