Short VOLUME is not an aggregate number, it is an assessed number based solely on that days trading and nothing more. Seems the hack piece is not knowing what such reports disclose in their data.
The only AGGREGATE report is in fact the Fails to Deliver report, showing an actual aggregate of failed trades in which share have not been delivered.
