It is a common method of antisemites to take a few comments that a handful of people may have said and try to make a case out of it.
I recently heard a story of someone who accompanied a jewish settler as he drove past an Arab village. The settler started to pray, he then explained he was praying that he wouldnt be attacked. The man asked the settler, do you think the Arabs pray when they go past an Israeli settlement? The settler responded, what do they have to fear?
The Israeli civilians are brutalized by bombings, shooting, and stonings on a daily basis. The Palestinians are living in very poor conditions, brought on by Arafat (worth a nice few hundred million dollars) and his corrupt regime. However, they are much safer then the Israeli people. The overwhelming majority of killed and injured Palestinians are the ones who come out and attack the Israeli soldiers who protect their land. There have been cases where innocents have been killed, when bombs went astray,and in tough gun battles, however when many palestinian civilians come at Israeli with explosive belts, theres bound to be many casualties. If the bombings and killings would stop, the Palestinians lives would improve.
The only way I would call Sharon a butcher, would be if he allowed his people to be massacred in the streets, hotels, buses and malls and didnt do a thing to protect them. The U.S. took care of stuff in Afghanistan and there were plenty of civilian casualties and even some Canadian soldiers by mistake. Sharon is just protecting his people, so that no more children will be blown apart as happened in Haifa.
