""It just seems odd."" I have seen this type of behavior before, in another stock that I followed. It started out, I think, to be a real profit making company, but when the going got ruff things got erratic. They were announcing new products, buying companies, stock dividends, none of which ever happened for what ever reason.
Then they went to a stock promotion site and got them to write silly stuff about the stock, including the "short sales stuff". (that's how I first learned about that)
Maybe for Arizona the term should be "shoot from the hip".
