I have no problem with discussion of Jewish and Israel issue on this thread, I object equating terrorists targeting civilians to "terrorists" freedom fighters in WII that fought valiantly but targeted military targets. It stains the memories of my Father and Mother who gave their lives so other can live free.
I would also appreciate a slightly more rational modicum of discussions. For instance, one argument being made is because some 500 refuzniks thinks that Israel actions in the territories are "Jewish", it means they are right. When the fact is that 100,000 other reservists also think that other methods should be utilized (out of about 500,000 reservists) but unlike the refuzniks, they chose to shoulder the burden set on them by the Intifada, rather than let others do the "dirty" work. So who is more right? 500 individuals who, chose not to face the harsh reality, or the 100,000 that shoulder the burden despite the fact that they have voted against Sharon and his approach every time they went to the ballot? The fact of the matter is that other approaches were tried, that is what the Barak/Clinon offer was, the approach preferred by those 100,000 objecting to Sharon policies. It turned out that Barak appeasement policy brought about the most disastrous wave of innocent killing by militant factions, a wave that was swelling more and more, until after the Pass over massacre of last year forced Sharon to reoccupy the territories, set harsh conditions on Ramalla, Schecmem and Jenin (but not touching the Gaza strip). And indeed the wave of Palestinians atrocities was subsiding. The response of Gaza, we want the same treatment as the West bank, in a series of attacks on neighboring Israeli cities around Gaza, they brought on themselves the same treatment that Ramalla, Jenin and Schechem got, that is ratioanl....
I'll count you as clamor 3.
