Here's the simple question: how can a member of middle class become "rich"? by having income, right?
Middle class is by definition not poor. Many in the middle class enjoy families, hobbies, friendship. Having a healthy life is not predicated on having more than others. That is the measure of wealth; comparative financial status. The middle class has access to things today that didn't exist a decade or two ago. Healthy people are not obsessed with money, most would rather spend their time with friends and enjoy life.
One of my friends daughter fell into a very profitable business, electronic cigarettes, garbage product IMO. Making like a mil a year at a very young age. Smart girl and will leverage her good fortune into a bigger fortune. My friend was out looking for his daughter's cat, phoned me while looking, going to be late to play Table Tennis, "Well, just get here another cat". "Nope, she payed several thou for this funny looking cat ..." I suggested he tell his daughter, "he needed to be out helping someone with a real problem".
