Bush will have to get his house in order first.
More and more conservative politicians and conservative commentators,
at least those without theocratic sympathies,
are publically criticizing the current administration.

I do think that Bush will gain support from some quarters however, in particular with the families who lost sons and daughters in the upcoming ME war. They will want to believe that their sacrifices were not in vain. It will be years before they question the confidence they gave our imperious leader.
