The weather service is talking some wind tonight, in the east this would be hurricane winds on the ridgetops... It got breezy yesterday, too, my neighbors tarp blew off his woodpile and it draped over the electric fence of the pasture holding his saddle horse, the mare stepped over it and ran with the wind... when he found it, it had joined up with a band of wild horses about 5 miles east of here in nevada, and wouldn't come to a bucket of oats being rattled, in fact the herd stallion was a bit indignant and led her off to points unknown. We got .63 of rain, which is about 10% of our annual rainfall.

* Winds: south to southwest winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to
55 mph.

* Sierra ridge gusts up to 140 mph.

* Wave heights on lake tahoe: 2 to 4 feet today... then becoming 3
to 6 feet by Sunday morning.

wow .. maybe a few drinks had something to do with it, but it was sooo STICKY ..

now i notice the Humidity is 78%, much higher, and the dew point down to 63 from
66 deg. then and is much more comfortable .. so seems to me, and a 'new' to me,
the dew point is a better indicator, for me anyway, of the level of uncomfortableness ..

actually i think upstairs, even though am within one meter of a 99% (always) OPEN
window it is 1-2 degrees warmer .. anyway it's noticeably warmer on walking upstairs ..

there was a mention of dp, or humidity, being 15 in the post back there with MUCH higher temperature,
115 deg .. ok, was a humidity mention of pro-se's which is it? .. dp or humidity the key? .. both, i guess ..
