Hoping we get an old fashioned gold bottom

After sharp drops in the stocks and bullion, we get a final blast down in bullion, not confirmed by the HUI.

THAT would constitute a very low risk buying opportunity.

Incidentally Steve Kaplan (true contrarian) has been talking about an HUI trough around 206 in early November.

I agree. As opposed to most of the bs posted on 321gold ("POG to xxxxxxx now") and kindly reposted here by dan, Saville makes sense most of the time. That's why I feel bad about his unlucky stretch (g).

Based on his charts, I still think that for short/intermediate term trading he is using a rather primitive set of tools - especially when he deals with the market in general.
