That’s what the term ought to mean, literally, but that’s not how GILD defined the admissible patient pool for the POSITRON study.

I agree. Furthermore Pharmasset viewed IL28b status in interferon-free therapy as being irrelevant. Patients continued to be stratified under this measure simply to appease the change-adverse mindset at the FDA.
