China has been the market leader in separations for a while, but, the "state of the art" in separations is hotly competitive, currently, and it is no longer as clear as it seemed even a year ago, that they're going to remain the market leader. It's still not at all a bad thing to have China helping you out by doing the work on metallurgy studies...

DSU do you think that our potential JV partner has the access to know how about advanced extraction methods automatically just because it is a chinese company? Maybe just due to its status of state owned company (who knows about the chinese system of sharing this hot info), but normally the holders and owners of know how are private companies, that protect their know-how against competitors, regardless if chinese or not.

It can be done in Canada but they decided to save some money and do the tests in China at a cheaper cost. Smart!
