where was the mention of jobs and the economy???

obama's opponent was so busy beating himself in an election that should have been easy, it was comical. All the bishop had to do was pick a story and stick to it and it would have probably been able to win easily, since unseating an incumbent during a flat economy is normally not too difficult. There was no need to lob slowpitch softballs to the bishop on items in his supposed wheelhouse, when he was more than eager to stick his nose in every trap set for him.

Instead, the republicans picked a total robot with a loose wire and had him try to push a scrambled message that clunked on many issues, such as appeasing the evangelistas on women's issues, and started out with a plan to cut taxes for the wealthy and increase defense spending yet reduce the deficit... That smelled foul to most everyone who saw a middle class hosing coming.

Then he decided obamacare was fine, just needed a little nip and tuck, during a debate. The guy just couldn't keep the story line in his head.
The guy just plain wasn't likable to normal people.

whatever reason one votes for a presidential aspirant could be seen as a "presidential issue", as it would be for
them .. would you have one vote for a president because of a stamp issued in 1938? .. i guess you meant a worthy
(in your mind) policy issue .. Obamacare sure as hell would be one policy issue many voters voted for Obama for ..

DD was right in that many voted against Romney because the did know what he stood
for.. they didn't trust him, even many in his own party didn't know what he stood for ..
