I think this indeed adressed the scale-ability and the cost factor, i was quite impressed with their upbeat answers to be honest. Seems they indeed have strong interest.
The drawback might be considered the demonstration project wire, it seems it will be easier to make the required wire with the commercial production line than with the test setup they had so far.
Fact that they mention fault current limiters as well as other items as short routes to revenue before 1 km lenghts are there was encouraging as well.
