Re: Raison d’etre of this board

>>Reading back to last year, I see what's banned from iHub:
a) Personal Attacks
b) Profanity

But reading today's entries, I think the following should also be excluded:

c) Stock TA (this is just the wrong board)
d) Perversion (guys writing pages devoted to mammary glands)
<<

c) I’m not especially interested in TA myself but many readers are, so I see no reason to exclude it. The collection of posters we have here probably assures that TA will never become a focal point.

d) If there are specific posters whose posts you don’t care to read, you may use the Ignore function. (This feature is available only to paid members, however.)

io_io,

d) Perversion (e.g. ==> weird guys writing pages devoted to mammary glands)

This weird pervert was writing about a condition that affects many millions of women and may be treatable in as many as 24M:

Fibrocystic breast changes can be broadly defined as benign (noncancerous) changes in the breast. Originally referred to as fibrocystic breast disease, fibrocystic changes alone are no longer considered a disease, in part because they are so common. In fact, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) reports that more than 60 percent of premenopausal women will experience fibrocystic changes over the course of their lifetime. The most common changes that women experience include:

Nipple discharge
Lumpiness
Cysts (sacs filled with fluid)
Swelling
Breast pain or tenderness

These changes may create a temporary discomfort that peaks as a woman’s menstrual cycle approaches. However, some women experience more intense changes that can result in severe or even debilitating pain.

Though I was startled once to be accused of being an ob/gyn poster who loved to post rather lurid tales of her specialty my knowledge is decidedly limited.

A little known biotech in Phase III trials of a treatment that seems (speciously I think) to perhaps even prevent some breast cancer might seem to possibly have some value.

Always glad to hear learned comment but not necessarily that I am perverted.

Best, Terry
