wow that sounds expensive. i haven't gotten any price quotes yet but i can't imagine it being over twice the cost of a conventional forced air system ( that would also include an air conditioning system ). that certainly would put me out of the running for that type of system. hopefully i'll get a quote here in the next fews days and we'll be able to compare the two systems.
from what i have been able to find out so far the PEX 5/8 tubing cost about .70/linear foot. my estimated cost for that would be about 900 bucks. adding a new and larger hot water tank for the boiler and my domestic hot water needs, valves and other plumbing needs i'm hoping to come in around the $3000.00 quote i got for installing a conventional electric forced air system. i guess we'll see how it shakes out.
