I agree with your assessment of Dick Kaplan and would probaby buy more if the price drops again.
One request to all posters: we are probably in agreement that Jim was not as forthcoming as he should have been, but he is DEAD. I propose we let him rest in peace, if for no other reason than he still has family involved in the company. Nothing said about him can change what happened, lets cease and desist talking about him.

Jim wasn't an engineer to my knowledge. He was in the investment business and horses. Vernon and Keith are engineers.
