I am able to get away with walking slow enough to find artifacts because i live at 5000 feet in elevation and when i drop down into the valley where the cardiologist is, at 100 feet in elevation, the extra red blood cells i have make my cardio look like i am 20 again when he puts me on the treadmill. Plus i gave him a fine obsidian blade that is about 600 years old but still razor sharp, and as a surgeon, he appreciated it so much he displays it in his office. And he never scolded me again like the time he said if i was walking slow enough to scan the ground thoroughly and find artifacts i was not helping my aerobic capacity.
I am amazed you remembered that, it has been years since i posted about it. Does australia have any high plains and mountains? the pictures i see of there don't show a lot of relief, other than the big butte that rises from the desert floor on all the travel posters.
