where i vote is a bunch of elderly women who know everyone, including me. they make cookies and brownies for everyone who votes. plus coffee, if one is so inclined. I don't even remember when voting became a free for all in terms of the date other than absentee ballots (for people that were going to be away on the actual day.)
it is like i missed some bat signal that only oregon sent out. (they have mail-in only elections) the actual act of voting on election day and getting the "i voted" sticker just has some sort of cultural significance to me. And i don't even know why i feel that way.
