but if it gets halted and then theres a lot of shorts at the open when it is unhalted they will have a margin call and have no choice but to cover at a lot higher pps
That's why on the last 2 dumps they were careful to not push it to a 10% drop. They came close both times but stopped it just shy.
"The new rule does not apply to all securities. It is triggered when a security's price decreases by 10% or more from the previous day's closing price and is effective until the close of the next day."
