I'm sorry but I really don't think it will have a huge effect. I know people who went through that a decade ago. It was mostly first time buyers who had to move while the house was below what they paid. They either went bankrupt or took the loss. But it didn't affect me or anyone else around me. I just don't think it's a big deal, but we'll see.
